Buckled up and we passed Sydney University, Liverpool Streets, up the Harbour Bridge (viewing the Opera House), Kurring-gai National Park via the Pacific Highway, the Gusford, Somersby, Ourimbah, Freeman’s Road, Palmers Road, and Lemon Tree Passage where we have booked a campground at Discovery Holiday Parks.
We were caught in a heavy traffic before entering Port Stephens, it took us about an hour to get to Gosford Exit. But it was okay because we were in a comfortable Britz Renegade, so car sickness wasn't an issue even with the kids. Road is wide, well maintained and sign posted so it wasn't stressful at all traverse to Port Stephens.
Anna Bay Photos and Camel Ride
You can do 4WD’s in sand dunes and camel rides in Anna Bay. We then had a coffee at birubi’s point and head towards Shoal Bay.
Shoal Bay Photos
Shoal Bay is a good place to have lunch. We bought food at sandbars seafood (one of the restaurants) and lunch by the sea.
Fingal Bay
After the short lunch, we head through the Fingal Bay. There we had a chance to get close the shore and had a little swim. The water is terrific and the views are fantastic. It’s an experience like no other.
Before the day ends, we had a drive through Murray’s Brewery where we had our FIRST wine tasting of
local grown wines. Our first taste was called Isabella, sweet with spark of strawberry.

The backdrop of the Rocky Mountains was magnificent and there are other natural attractions embellished our trip to Port Stephens: Anna Bay, Shoal Bay and Fingal Bay. These coastal points were worth pulling through.

We drank a glassful of beer, it was not dry at all. The lady in the counter and some visitors advised it is one of the most sought beer in that place. We ended the day with a dinner. We had lamb sausages, corn, bread and butter.
